Endometriosis: a key to healing through nutrition
Endometriosis is a condition where the lining of the womb grows on organs outside of the uterus. It currently affects one in ten women around the world and is being diagnosed in more and more women in their early teens and 20s. It is predicted that by the year 2000, the numbers of women suffering will have risen to around 200 million. Symptoms vary but may include severe period pain, heavy bleeding or pain during intercourse. The pain can be totally debilitating, affecting a woman's ability to lead a normal, fulfilling life and one third of women with the condition have difficulty conceiving.
